Abstract

The study was conducted o determine the growth performance or broiler incorporated with phytase enzvme (Natuphos) mixed inthe feeds.

A total of thirty (36) seven day old chicks were used in this study. These were randomly distributed to four dietary treatments replicated three times with three chicks per replication. The different levels or phytase enzyme (Natuphos) were designated as follows: Treatment 0 that served as the control with 0 g of Natuphos: Treatment 1. 60 g of Natuphos; Treatment 2. 120 g Natuphos, Treatment 3 with 180 g of Natuphos.

A completely Randomized Design (CRD) was used in this experiment and Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DMRT) was used to test further significant differences among treatment mean.

The result showed highly, significant difference in average feed consumption. The birds fed with ration incorporated with Natuphos showed consistent superior performance over the control particularly birds incorporated with 180 g of Natuphos. However, the average initial, average final weight. average total gain in weight, average daily gain and average feed efficiency revealed no significant differences.

The return above feed cost Pointed that there's a high net return
